If you feel you need to provide supplemental support by cabling or bracing contact our office about an inspection by a Certified Arborist. Cabling should only be installed by the recommendation of a Certified Arborist. Cabling allows supplemental support to trees that need structural assistance to mitigate the risk of failure of weak branch unions or multiple stems. With the use of Extra High Strength Steel cables they are attached to the upper crown of the tree. Installation techniques and materials are dependent on the trees needs and purpose of the cabling and bracing in the tree. All installation techniques and materials used comply with American National Standards Institute A300 Standards. The goal is to limit the movement of the supported branches so they are less likely to fail during storms and high winds. A homeowner with a supplemental structural
