About Us

Known for our professionalism, integrity, and reliability, Evergreen Tree Care has been Contra Costa County's tree care specialist for over 30 years. We enjoy business relationships with many satisfied clients whom we've served over the years.

Gary Abrojena, Owner 

Gary Abrojena has owned and operated Evergreen Tree Care of Antioch, California for over 30 years. A family-run business, Gary and his crew have an excellent reputation in the East Bay Area for professionalism, integrity and reliability. Gary's wife Linda and their oldest son Gary Jr. are certified arborists in the office, and the youngest son Christian, now in high school has grown up in the tree care business.  Gary is a certified arborist and is active in the tree care industry, volunteering as a climbing instructor for Western Chapter ISA and for the California Arborist Assoc. of which he completed two years as Vice-President. Gary has also given his time to the Tree Care Industry Expo, Arizona Community Tree Council and Urban Forestry Council. Gary has been competing since 1993, and has represented the Western Chapter five times at the International level, placing 3rd twice. He also loves people, and has always done his best to train, mentor and set an example to the next generation of arborists and treeworkers. His motto is "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another".

Jared Abrojena

Jared is a supervisor, Certified Treeworker and Certified Arborist, champion climber and a huge asset to the family business, Evergreen Tree Care, located in the East San Francisco Bay Area of California. Jared and his wife Kati live in Antioch, California and have 2 children. Jared recently won the title of World Champion in the ISA TREE CLIMBING CHAMPIONSHIPS, recently held in Providence, RI.  As quoted in the Western Arborist, " Jared's climbs were graceful, nimble, and as always, calculated. His smooth, skillful execution of the events captured the crowd's attention and the notice of the judges."

Jared has been climbing since he was 8 years old, and placed 7th in his very first chapter competition at the age of 15. With 5 regional championships, and a World Championship title under his belt, Jared is the 2011 National Champion and competes in Sydney Australia for the World Title. Jared has volunteered his time, experience and climbing skills for the Western Chapter ISA, for the California Arborists Association, and for the Arizona Tree Community Tree Council.
